Entering into counseling is a courageous first step in your healing process. In each session we will decide on at least one concrete behavior you can change to improve your life. Together we will address the deep-rooted problems which brought you into counseling in the first place. My specialty is working with addicted people and their families. I am a Nationally Certified Addictions Counselor and a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I can provide evaluations for those who tested positive for drugs or alcohol on the job, and court-accepted Substance Abuse treatment and education.
Along with addiction work, I treat troubled children and teens, adult survivors of childhood abuse, and those in domestic violence situations. I am trained in Collaborative Divorce, which minimizes the impact of parental separation on children.
Finally, I believe God is an integral part of the change process. Along with developing coping skills, addressing your spirituality allows you to heal more completely. If you would like an appointment, call the above number and request Debbie Hanson. I offer sliding scale fees, but don’t take insurance.
