Here at The Riley Center, we operate a private, non-profit school for individuals 5-21 years of age diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program emphasizes academic, social, and behavioral success while promoting independence across adaptive skills, through the implementation of research-based National Standards of Practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Special Education for early to advanced learners.
Each classroom is led by a certified teacher with academics aligning with the Alabama Course of Study for the five core areas – math, reading, language arts, science, and social studies. In addition, each classroom is assigned a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to track and analyze behavior data in order to create and modify programming to promote the most effective individualized plan for each student’s success
