At times, everyone experiences life changes that can feel unmanageable, whether you are an adult, adolescent or child. Sometimes these emotions can seem to come out of nowhere and feel utterly overwhelming and confusing. With counseling I work to help clients and their families define these emotions, recognize the control they have and build their strengths to shape new, healthy coping skills. I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety and mood disorders and have worked extensively during the past 15 years with families, children and adolescents in resolving these problems.
As a military family member, I have experience working with military families and the issues unique to their lives. I have also had extensive experience working with adults and children who have suffered exposure to domestic violence or abuse. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach with proven mind/body techniques.
