Murry Mutchnick, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist. He has a general practice, with vast experience and expertise in treating adults, adolescents, children and couples, who are struggling with a wide range of difficulties. Dr. Mutchnick believes that a safe, caring, trusting therapeutic relationship is most important for treatment success. He has particular experience treating mood problems, addictions, and psychological disorders resulting in physical problems. He also has specialized training in clinical neuropsychology, evaluating individuals with known or suspected neurological disorders. He draws from a number of theoretical orientations to provide the most effective, unique treatment for every individual.
Dr. Mutchnick has more than 20 years of clinical experience in private practice, hospitals (VA, acute care, physical rehabilitation and psychiatric), juvenile corrections and mental health agencies. He was a professor for approximately nine years at Spring Hill College and is now a part time faculty member at the University of South Alabama.
