Children’s Rehabilitation Service ( CRS ) is a statewide organization of skilled professionals providing quality medical, rehabilitative, coordination and educational support services for children with special health care needs and their families Every county in Alabama is served through a network of 14 community-based offices.

This network provides specialty clinic and other services by physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, occupational therapists, registered dietitians, secretaries, and administrators.

CRS also collaborates with local school systems and families to address the complex issues associated with disabilities and special health care needs and provides education, training, specialized services, and assistive technology and devices to enable children with disabilities and special health care needs to attend, benefit from, and remain in school. Through services such as counseling, specialized therapy, and assistive technology for children and families, as well as disability training for teachers and other school staff, CRS offers the support vital to classroom success.
